TRULY REVOLUTIONARY.
TRULY REVOLUTIONARY.
Developed in conjunction with the World Championship-winning Women’s USA Team Pursuit squad, the TA FRD is unlike anything that has come before it. We pushed aside limiting factors like cost and versatility to create the fastest bike possible for timed competitions inside the velodrome. We approached the project’s aerodynamic development with a fresh set of eyes, and discovered a whole new understanding of the unique conditions of the track and the effects of yaw. The result is a bike with a brand-new airfoil paradigm, and an asymmetric design most strikingly realized in its left-hand drive system. It’s the fastest race machine that’s ever been put onto the boards, and its singular focus is to win.
There is only one model of TA FRD, the bike designed to slay all track records that it encounters. Because of the unique, customized configuration, each bike is expertly assembled via a special order process in direct contact with Felt's expert Product Managers and technicians.
The most revolutionary track bike the world has ever seen. A world championship-winner and world record-holder.
The TA FRD fits a wide range of track athletes. Each TA FRD is a project build with a full assortment of contact touch-points dialed in for the unique user. Bar configuration, seat post, cranks, and wheels are all built and configured individually. If you are interested, please use the contact form above and we'll help steer you towards a faster you!

Because the TA FRD is a pure race bike designed for the world’s top track racers, its airfoils were developed for the specific conditions of the velodrome, meaning at a very low yaw angles. The airfoils have been optimized to have as little aerodynamic drag on the track as possible while still possessing an efficient shape for maximum stiffness. The TA FRD’s revolutionary aerodynamics were achieved within UCI regulations, and every part of the TA FRD frame was optimized using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software and finite element analysis (FEA) both individually and as a complete package to create the most advanced bike in the history of our company.
The equation that results in the perfect race bike includes both aerodynamic efficiency and advanced material manipulation. To achieve the complex airfoils necessary for such blistering speed, our engineers developed the finest carbon fiber layup ever for the TA FRD. Like many of our high-performance bikes, the TA FRD includes the use of TeXtreme®, a unique type of carbon that is also utilized on Formula One race cars and in aerospace applications. TeXtreme® is but one part of the carbon recipe, but its unique properties help yield a bike that is as lightweight as possible per UCI regulations, yet still embodies the stiffest platform possible for world-class track athletes.
The TA FRD’s unique left-hand drive system is the most striking example of the bike’s component integration. But our product development team also incorporated a variety of unique parts to ensure that the TA FRD not only performs at the highest level, but also gives the rider plenty of flexibility in optimizing his or her race day setup. These include aero wheels developed in conjunction with HED, as well as an additional set of wheels; proprietary narrow hubs that complement the bike’s aero prowess; a wide assortment of chainrings and cogs to fine-tune your gearing; and a custom handlebar system that can be adjusted for the fit needs of all riders, to name a few. Every single piece of the TA FRD was thoughtfully prepared, so that your effort will want for nothing.
“It’s a purpose-built machine if there ever was one for the track—it’s built to turn left while going very fast.”

Getting the proper size bike is key to comfort, performance, and safety. The world's best bike, if the wrong size for you, won't make you a better rider.
Our bike sizing guide is meant to give some general direction as to the best size to fit you based on your height. This is just one variable in a very complex system between rider and bike so keep in mind that rider proportions, fitness levels, and other aspects particular to the individual cyclist has a big impact on how you'll feel and perform on your new bike. Our size guidelines are not a substitute for a professional bike fit. If you have size questions, please don't hesitate to visit your local qualified bike fitter or reach out to us.
