Cyclocross-Specific Details

The heart and soul of the Fx is its famed geometry. With aggressive head and seat angles and short chainstays, the Fx is the best-handling ’cross bike in the world, having won two consecutive world championships in the Men’s Elite category. It also features a robust foundation with incredible bottom bracket stiffness. This means that every single watt from the rider’s legs will be put to good use, particularly when it comes to quick accelerations out of the corners. The Fx also features a large front triangle, thoughtfully developed to allow easy shouldering in run-ups or other off-the-bike situations. The Fx comes with size 33c tires, but can accept up to 34mm measured tires (per ISO safety standards) for a bit of added versatility and options.

Disc Brakes & Thru-Axles

Disc brakes are the new standard in road bike technology, providing increased stopping power, enhanced modulation and better performance in both adverse weather conditions and ideal riding conditions compared to rim brakes. For racers and performance-focused riders, disc brakes also improve handling and overall control, which allows you to carry speed through turns for a more fluid riding experience. No matter your age, fitness level, body size or even where you ride, disc brakes provide numerous benefits over traditional rim caliper brakes. Available on all FX models.

Our Best Carbon Chassis

The Fx is available in three complete builds, all featuring the same svelte silhouette and tube profiles, but with different carbon layups. For the most high-performance cyclocross bike you can get your hands on, you’ll want the Fx FRD | Ultimate, which is available as a frame kit only—this lets you build your dream race bike with your favorite components. We also offer a complete Fx bike in our Advanced series, appropriately named the Fx | Advanced | GRX 600—it features our most popular UHC Advanced carbon fiber in both the frame and fork. Finally, we have two bikes in the the Fx | Advanced+ series: One featuring SRAM’s groundbreaking Force Cx1 groupset annf a version built with Shimano’s GRX 800 group. What makes the Fx | Advanced+ unique is that it features our UHC Advanced carbon in the frame, and UHC Ultimate carbon in the fork. This means that the total frame kit is a bit lighter, but significantly less expensive than the Fx FRD version, all without sacrificing incredible handling and solid power transfer. You can also get the Advanced+ version in a frame kit, too.

Getting the proper size bike is key to comfort, performance, and safety. The world's best bike, if the wrong size for you, won't make you a better rider.
Our bike sizing guide is meant to give some general direction as to the best size to fit you based on your height. This is just one variable in a very complex system between rider and bike so keep in mind that rider proportions, fitness levels, and other aspects particular to the individual cyclist has a big impact on how you'll feel and perform on your new bike.
